Maoist Center likely to take action against leaders allying with PM Oli

KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Center) is preparing to take action against its leaders who have joined the CPN-UML.

Party Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that a central committee meeting of the party to be held in a day or two will take action against the ministers and leaders who stood by Prime Minister KP Oli deserting the CPN (Maoist Center).

Shrestha said the party has already asked them to come back to the party. “Since the party has received no formal response from them, the party will take necessary action against them,” he said.

Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa “Badal”, Industry Minister Lekhraj Bhatta, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Mani Thapa, Prabhu Sah, among others are in the Prime Minister KP Oli-led cabinet.

Despite the Supreme Court’s decision to reinstate the House of Representatives, they have supported PM Oli.
