Nepal-Khanal faction to boycott UML CC meet Saturday

KATHMANDU: KATHMANDU: Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal faction of the CPN-UML has decided not to attend the UML Central Committee (CC) meeting called by party Chair and Prime Minister KP Oli on Saturday.

A meeting of the standing committee of the faction that took place Friday evening in New Baneshwor decided to this effect.

The faction is not satisfied with the CC meet being held at Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

The faction is of the view that the party’s CC meetings should be held either in the party office or the parliament building.

They accused Prime Minister KP Oli of trying to privatize the party by holding the CC meet at the PM’s official residence in Baluwatar.

They also said that they will think about attending the CC meet if it is held outside of the PM’s official residence.
