KATHMANDU: The latest update by the Election Commission shows that there are 16,243,110 voters in the country. The number is from the updating of the voters’ list carried out recently.

The final list of voters as of today has been published after updating the voters’ roll and reviewing the voting centers. A total of 10,660 voting centers have been established, the EC said.

The updated list includes the voters who completed 18 years of age last December and had registered themselves in the voters’ list.

The registration of the voters’ list had been postponed after the announcement of the elections.

However, it will resume again from all the 77 district election offices from tomorrow, the EC said.
