National conclave of Nepal-Khanal faction begins in Sanepa

KATHMANDU: The much-talked-about two-day national conclave of the Nepal-Khanal faction, ruling CPN-UML, has begun in Sanepa.

The faction has claimed over 2,000 leaders and cadres are participating in the gathering to be held on Wednesday and Thursday.

The faction had decided to hold the gathering against what they said “KP Oli’s arbitrary” attitude in running the party.

The central committee of the faction is scheduled to submit a concept paper on the current interparty dispute and its possible ways out in the gathering.

The disgruntled faction has been alleging Chairman Oli of pushing the party towards split by nominating 23 former Maoist Center leaders including Home Minister Ram Bahaddur Thapa to the central committee of the CPN-UML.
