PM Oli holds telephone conversation with Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has broken the ice between him and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ by telephoning him.

PM Oli proposed to hold discussion on the existing political situation in the country with the Maoist chair.

However, it has been learned that Prachanda has yet to respond to the PM’s offer.

The two leaders were co-chairs of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) before the March 7 verdict of the Supreme Court that nullified their unification, reviving the erstwhile CPN-UML and Maoist Center.

The two leaders were not on speaking terms after the PM dissolved the House of Representatives on December 20.
