NC’s priority should be to protect the constitution: Senior leader Poudel

PARBAT: Senior leader of Nepali Congress (NC) Ram Chandra Poudel has said the party’s focus should be to protect the system rather than heading the government.

Speaking at a program in Kushma on Monday, Poudel said NC should work toward protecting the system and the constitution.

He also added that the party should not take forward the no-confidence motion in parliament against Prime Minister KP Oli.

Poudel, however, claimed that the NC should endeavor to form a coalition government with the CPN (Maoist Centre) and Janata Samajwadi Party if the situation demands so.
