PM Oli claims no one has been sacked from their posts

Says few leaders are given more responsibility

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Chairman of ruling Communist Party of Nepal (UML) KP Oli claimed on Saturday that he has not dismissed any leaders from their posts.

Speaking to the party cadres of his faction in Kathmandu, PM Oli said that he has not removed any leaders from their responsibility and is also ready to discuss with Nepal-Khanal faction if they attend the party’s meeting scheduled for March 20.

“I have not revoked anyone’s post. Unlike them, I have not declared that their membership has been revoked,” PM Oli said, adding, “It is true that some leaders have been assigned some more responsibilities; that’s all.”

However, he warned that if the leaders do not attend the March 20 meeting of the party, he will take action against them.

PM Oli challenged the main opposition to remove him from the post and claimed that if his government is dethroned now, the party will come with a two-third majority in 20 months.
