Kathmandu Mayor Cup: APF taking on Police in final today



KATHMANDU: Departmental teams Armed Police Force (APF) and Nepal Police Club are locking horns in the final match under the Kathmandu Mayor Cup one day national cricket tournament in the Kathmandu Valley on Saturday.

Organized by Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) at the financial assistance of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), the departmental teams have reached the final.

APF had played the final match of the Prime Minister’s Cup last month but was deprived of the cup after it lost to Tribhuvan Army Club.

Police is also aiming to grab the tile. Both teams had competed against each other in the group stage match.  Out of five teams –Tribhuvan Army Club, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Bagmati Pradesh and Kathmadu Mayor-11 – who competed in the round robin league, APF had emerged victorious.

Based on this result, APF is likely to grab the title.
