Maoist Center holding SC meeting today

KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Center) led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda is holding a Standing Committee (SC) meeting today to dwell on the latest political development in the country.

The SC meeting to be held at 9 am will dwell on a new power sharing and nomination of the Maoist Center leaders to the central committee of the CPN-UML and action taken against the leaders loyal to the Nepal-Khanal faction.

According to a Maoist Center leader, Chairman Prachanda on Friday decided to hold the SC meeting today immediately after the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) and Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) held discussions on the future political course in Budhanilkantha.

The JSP has been decisive for the formation of a new government. UML Chairman and Prime Minister KP Oli Friday took actions against CC members of the Nepal faction and nominated 23 Maoist Center leaders including Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa to the party’s central committee.

An SC meeting to be held this morning will urge them to return to the party and take action against them if they do not obey the party decision.
