DoT issues climbing permit for spring season



KATHMANDU: The Department of Tourism (DoT) has issued climbing permit to a team of four people for spring season, 2021.

The Department said it has provided permit to four persons on Tuesday to scale the Mt Nuptse (7,864 meters).

According to the Department, it has collected Rs 279,240 as royalty from the climbers.

It said while foreign climbers are charged US dollar 600 per person to climb mountains from 7,501 meters to 7,999 meters in the spring season, Nepali climbers are required to pay Rs 8,000 as royalty to climb those mountains.
