Traffic to be halted in some areas on Mahashivaratri



KATHMANDU: The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD) has decided to ban traffic movement in some areas near the premises of Pashupatinath on the day of Mahashivaratri.

Issuing a notice on Wednesday, the MPTD has said traffic movement will not be allowed on the road from Chahabil, Old Baneshwor, Gyaneshwor to Gaushala via Ratopool.

Similarly, the vehicular movement along the road from Siphalchaur to Jayabageshwori, Lampokhari to Mitrapark, Gaurighat to Umakunda and Mitrapark and Tilganga to Gaushala will remain restricted on Thursday, according to the notice.
