SASANE protests against tax on pad



KATHMANDU: Samrakshak Samuha Nepal (SASANE) organized a silent rally demanding a waiver of tax on sanitary pads.

On the rally organized to observe the World Women’s Day, the participants protested against the tax levied on the sanitary pad.

The participants of the SASANE’s silent rally at Maitighar Mandala held various placards saying, ‘Dear God pls stop the PERIOD or the TAX,’ ‘We are survivors of TAX-biasness’ ‘TAX free PAD, raise your voice.’

SASANE has also initiated a PAD Bank where needy people can get sanitary pads free of cost.
