Prez, Veep, Chief Justice to receive COVID-19 vaccine



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun and Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana and other high-ranking officials will take first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on March 7.

According to Laxman Aryal, the secretary at the Ministry of Health and Population, they will be vaccinated at their respective offices.

Similarly, Nepal Communist Party Prachanda-Nepal faction Chairmen Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Madhav Kumar Nepal, Speaker Agni Sapkota among others have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine today.

As the House of Representatives is scheduled to convene on March 7, the Parliament Secretariat has made arrangements to vaccinate lawmakers and staffers of the parliament against Coronavirus before the house session begins.
