Sri Lanka Police Chief suspended over Easter terror attacks



COLOMBO: Sri Lanka’s President on Monday suspended police chief and appointed a new defense secretary. The move comes following Easter Sunday terror attacked that shocked the killing 253 people and injuring nearly 500.

Sri Lanka police has been accused of ingoing multiple alerts on a possible attack by Islamist extremists.

Police Chief Pujith Jayasundara had refused to quit.
