Govt recommends President to summon house session on March 7



KATHMANDU: The government has recommended President Bidya Devi Bhandari to summon the house session of the reinstated House of Representatives (HoR) at 4 pm on March 7.

A cabinet meeting held at Baluwatar this morning took a decision to this effect, said Minister for Agriculture Padma Kumari Aryal.

Minister Aryal further said today’s meeting formally recommended the summoning of the house session even though the date for the parliament session was fixed for March 7.

The Supreme Court on February 23 reinstated the dissolved HoR, directing the government to summon the house session by March 8.
