Nepali girl killed after gang rape in India, nine accused surrender



BETTIAH: Nine people wanted in connection with gang rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl from Nepal in the East Champaran district of Bihar surrendered before a local court on Saturday.

However, the police officer accused of complicity in attempts to bury the case is still absconding said police, Hindustan Times reported.

All the accused have been sent to judicial custody.

The case was registered on February 2 after the minor girl, staying in a rented house at Kundwa Chainpur in Sikarahana subdivision in East Champaran district was reported to have been gang-raped by four men on January 21 and later murdered at her accommodation, the report added.
