KATHMANDU: General Secretary of Nepal Bar Association (NBA) Lila Mani Poudel has said that Prime Minister KP Oli’s threat to launch an agitation is “unethical and unacceptable”.

PM Oli had on Saturday said that his party would launch an agitation if the Supreme Court gave its verdict against the dissolution of House of Representatives (HoR).

“We are not with PM Oli’s remark that the government will protest if the SC verdict goes against the dissolution of HoR,” Poudel said at a program organized in Kathmandu on Sunday.

He dubbed PM Oli’s remarks “unethical and unacceptable”.

NBA General Secretary Poudel also added that none should put the judiciary under pressure.

However, he commented that the dissolution of the HoR was against the constitutional provisions.
