Transport entrepreneurs demand adopting automated pricing system for fare

KATHMANDU: Public transport entrepreneurs have demanded to adopt an automated pricing system for fixing the fare of public transportation.

Entrepreneurs have made such demand after the provision of scientific fare was not implemented and the price of petroleum products started rising on a weekly basis.

Senior Vice President of the Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs Vijay Swar, says, “The price of diesel goes up on a weekly basis. So, a similar system to Nepal Oil Corporation should be adopted for determining transportation fare.”

Entrepreneurs claim that many things will be improved if public transport fares are adjusted as per the automated pricing system.
