PM Oli greeted with black flag in Biratnagar

BIRATNAGAR: Prime Minister KP Oli has been greeted with black flags in Biratnagar on Saturday afternoon.

Cadres of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction showed black flags to Prime Minister while he was heading to a mass assembly venue from the airport.

NCP Oli faction is holding a mass assembly in Biratnagar today.

Along with the Prime Minister, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’, Subas Nembang, and Chief Minister of Province Sherdhan Rai among others will address the mass assembly.

Province 1 Committee Chairman Devraj Ghimire claimed that 200,000 people would attend the mass assembly to be held at the ground on Birat Nursing Home in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-2.

The faction has been holding mass assemblies in major cities of the country in the run-up to the mid-term election slated for April 30 and May 10. The faction had earlier organized a mass assembly in Butwal.

It should be noted that the dissenting faction of the ruling party has been holding protest assemblies against House dissolution.
