Newly-appointed Chief of Province 2 takes oath of office and secrecy



KATHMANDU: The newly appointed Chief of Province 2 Rajesh Jha “Ahiraj” has taken oath of office and secrecy.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to Jha at a special ceremony held at Sheetal Niwas on Friday evening.

Prime Minister KP Oli and National Assembly Speaker Ganesh Prasad Timilsina were present at the swearing-in ceremony.

Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun and Speaker Agni Sapkota, however, did not attend the function.

President Bhandari had appointed Jha of Rautahat as the Chief of Province 2 on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.

President Bhandari on Friday dismissed Tilak Pariyar, the State Chief of Province 2.
