NC holding Central Working Committee meeting

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) is holding its Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting on Wednesday.

Krishna Prasad Poudel, Chief Secretary at the NC central office said that the meeting will be held at the party office at 2 pm.

Poudel said all central committee members, and office-bearers have been invited to attend the meeting.

It should be recalled that party senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel had urged party President Sher Bahadur Deuba to call a meeting of the central committee to discuss the government’s moves of making political developments and appointments at the constitutional bodies.

The party has been opposing the appointments at the constitutional bodies.

Meanwhile, a meeting of NC district presidents called by party senior leader Poudel was postponed after party President Deuba agreed to call the party’s central committee meeting.

The faction led by Poudel had called a meeting of district presidents to take necessary strategy and put pressure on Deuba.
