Minister Rayamajhi accuses Prachanda of embezzling Rs 7 billion in name of ex-combatants

BUTWAL: With the widening rift between the conflict factions of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP), the leaders seem to attack each other faction revealing the corruption scams committed by the other.

Incumbent Minister and former Maoist leader Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has pounded against NCP Chairman Prachanda accusing the latter of embezzling billions of rupees in the name of ex-combatants.

“We all ex-combatants who played a pivotal role for the new system should remember that we put 19,000 troops in the cantonment and got 34,000 allowances, but there has been a scam of around Rs 7 billion. Where did the money go?”
Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Rayamajhi asked while addressing the gathering organized by NCP’s Oli faction at Butwal adding, “It is high time to demand the details of every single penny.”
