Thai Ambassador Vorasaph calls on PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Thai Ambassador to Nepal Vosita Vorasaph called on Prime Minister KP Oli on Friday at Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar.

According to Prime Minister’s Secretariat, they disused various issues on further enhancing bilateral relations between the countries.

Prime Minister Oli also expressed the view that visits by tourists to Buddhist shrines in both countries should be increased to deepen the cultural and people-to-people ties through Buddhism.

The Prime Minister also said that new possibilities should be explored to further enhance the diplomatic relations established 62 years ago.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Ambassador Vorasaph expressed the view that a direct air link between Thailand and Nepal’s Bhairahawa Airport could increase Thai tourist arrivals in Nepal.
