KATHMANDU: A fire broke out at Putalisadak in Kathmandu after a transformer exploded on Sunday morning.

The transformer of the Nepal Electricity Authority in front of the computer market exploded causing the fire.

The fire gutted overhead cables and has been contained, police said.
