Mainly fair weather in major parts of country today



KATHMANDU: The weather will gradually improve in major parts of the country from Sunday.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), it will be partly cloudy in Province 1 and mainly fair in the rest of the country.

In a weather bulletin issued for today, the met office said that a thick fog likely to occur in some areas in the Terai regions.

There will be a slight rise in daytime temperature and it will be partly cloudy in Province 1 and Gandaki Province and mainly fair in the rest of the country at night, it added.

The westerly wind had caused rain and snowfall in most parts of the country on Saturday.

Kathmandu received 1.2 ml rainfall yesterday, while Chandragiri and Phulchowki, touristic spots of the outskirt of the Kathmandu Valley, witnessed the first snowfall of the season.
