KATHMANDU: The sister organizations of the main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) staged demonstrations across the country on Saturday.

The sister organizations demonstrated in all the 77 districts against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) today as per the decision of the Central Working Committee (CWC) of the NC.

The NC has been taking to the streets after the Oli-led government dissolved the HoR on December 20 stating that it is unconstitutional, anti-democratic, and against the mandate of the people.

The organizations of the party hit the streets against the government and the HoR dissolution across the country including the Kathmandu Valley.

They formed a human chain around Tundikhel as part of the demonstrations in the capital.
