DPM Pokhrel vows to foil conspiracies hatched against constitution, nationalism

KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Secretariat member of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Ishwor Pokhrel has vowed to foil all conspiracies being hatched against nationalism, constitution and political stability.

Elements are trying to invite anarchism and instability. “Let me reiterate that your plot to create instability will not be fulfilled at any cost,” Pokhrel said addressing a mass meeting at Durbar Marg in Kathmandu on Friday organized by the NCP.

He wondered why the dissident faction of the NCP led by Prachanda-Nepal is worried to go to the people by participating in the general elections.

Pokhrel also came down heavily on the leaders of the dissident faction for conspiring to oust Prime Minister KP Oli.

“We will not allow them to create political instability,” he said adding, “We will foil any conspiracies being hatched against the people’s achievements, come what may.”

He also came down heavily on the Prachanda-Nepal faction for troubling the people in the name of Nepal bandha on Thursday.

“The NCP led by Prime Minister KP Oli will compensate the loss of the people incurred during the bandha,” Pokhrel added.

On the issue of the authenticity of the Nepal Communist Party, Pokhrel said, “The NCP led by KP Oli is the authentic party and will get the Sun as its election symbol.”
