Fire guts five houses, properties worth Rs 5.6 mln



TAPLEJUNG: Properties worth Rs 5.6 million have been destroyed in a fire in Sinam of Taplejung district.

A according to District Police Office, Taplejung, five houses were reduced to ashes in the fire that started on Tuesday afternoon.

The fire which started while a child was lighting it gutted the houses of Dipendra Giri, Tek Nath Giri, Shanti Ram Giri and Deepak Giri, according to police.

Locals with the help of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force struggled for around two hours to douse the fire.
