KATHMANDU: Minister for Drinking Water and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Oli faction leader Mani Thapa has apologized for saying ‘His Majesty’s Government’ instead of ‘Nepal Government’.

Minister Thapa while speaking at a mass assembly in Surkhet on Saturday had said ‘His Majesty’s Government’.

His remark has received severe criticism on social media.

Thapa has apologized through social network Facebook after intense criticism against him.

“…I request Nepali citizen, my well-wisher, and the leaders and cadres of the party not to have a dilemma about the use of words. I humbly request that I have spent my entire political life in revolution and change and will not be with me in favor of regression. I apologize for using those words by mistake.”
