KATHMANDU: Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has called on the Prachanda-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) to return to the party after self-criticism.

Addressing a mass assembly held in Chitwan on Saturday, Minister Thapa urged them to return to the party by admitting mistakes.

“People want unity, admit your mistakes and weaknesses and return to the party,” he said, “People want prosperity and development that can only be given by the NCP leadership.”

Aiming at Prachanda, he said, “If you have the courage, fight the election and win the trust of the people and become the Prime Minister. It is not necessary to tear the ballot paper to win the election.”
