Fugitive accused of rape arrested



KATHMANDU: Sindhupalchowk Police have arrested a fugitive accused in a rape case.

Sudeep Danuwar, who was accused of raping a woman in Banepa of Kavre in July last year, has been arrested.

He hails from Fataksheela in Melamchi Municipality-13 of Sindhupalchowk district.

According to Fal Bahadur Tamang, Inspector at the Area Police Office, Melamchi, Danuwar was arrested by the police team deployed from the Temporary Police Post, Bahunepati while he was hiding in his house.

He has been sent to Kavre District Police Office for necessary action.

Kavre Police is going to investigate the case of rape against Danuwar.
