Prachanda-Nepal scared of polls fearing defeat: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has said that the Prachanda-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is scared of mid-term elections fearing defeat.

Addressing a gathering of party cadres organized by the NCP-Kathmandu Metropolitan Committee in Kathmandu on Friday, Prime Minister Oli said that the defeat of the faction is certain.

PM Oli said that the Prachanda-Nepal faction was in trouble now and argued that their condition would be ‘bad’ even in the election.

The Prime Minister said that people will punish those who tried to convert the country into a ‘marketplace of lawmakers’.

Oli said that the Prachanda-Nepal faction had obstructed him in running the government, adding that the party has been rendered clean after the faction left.
