‘Fake patriots’ trying to push country towards instability: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has accused Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal, Jhalanath Khanal, and Bamdev Gautam of pulling down his first government.

Speaking at a program organized by GEFONT on Thursday, Oli, who is also NCP Chairman, accused that the government formed under his leadership in 2072 BS was overthrown by the leaders by provoking Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias ‘Prachanda’.

Prime Minister Oli said that leaders including Prachanda and Nepal would be transformed into civil society in three months, stressing that faction did not have the strength and ability to run a party.

PM Oli further stated that there is no other party as disciplined and dignified as his group.

PM Oli further said that ‘fake patriots’ are trying to push the country towards instability.

He said that they trying to push the country towards instability by overthrowing the majority government.

PM said that he had to go to the people as a group of fake patriots was trying to overthrow the government.

“We have stopped the country from moving towards instability,” he said, “Do people support genuine patriots or fake patriots?”

He complained that some leaders and media were harassing the government.

“Some leaders have never spoken in favor of the government,” he said, “Some media did not publicize the good work of the government.”
