Man arrested on charge of forging police report for insurance



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man on the charge of forging documents to be issued by the law enforcement agency for claiming insurance.

A police team deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot arrested Sushil Subedi, 40, of Chandragiri-3.

Subedi had made a fake police report to claim insurance saying that a bus, Ba 2 Kha 6286, heading towards Thankot from Ratna Park overturned at Gurjudhara.

Subedi had submitted the fake document signed in the name of Sub Inspector Badri Nepali to the insurance company to prove that the bus was damaged in the accident.

Subedi was arrested after finding that documents submitted to the insurance company for the claim were fake.

According to police, an investigation has been started against him for forging government documents.
