KATHMANDU: Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Poudel has claimed that Nepal is aiming for victory in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Addressing a program organized to mark the 69th Customs Day, Minister Poudel reiterated that the latest test results reveal the government is getting victorious in the fight against the coronavirus.

“We are looking for victory in the fight against COVID-19, the latest test results say so,” Minister Poudel told in the program adding “The government will distribute quality COVID vaccine to the people free of cost.”

He remarked that the national economy will get momentum once the vaccination campaign is over.

Minister Poudel sought the cooperation of the industrialists in stopping customs leakage.

Stating that the customs administration would assist the private sector in facilitating trade, he urged the private sector to help in reducing invoicing and leakage.
