KATHMANDU: Senior leader of Nepali Congress (NC) Ram Chandra Poudel has lambasted the government’s use of force against the peaceful protest of civil society leaders and has remarked that every dictator blabbers this way in their last days.

Commenting on Prime Minister KP Oli and his government, Poudel said that the government has turned reactionary and the PM seems committed to insult his opponents.

He noted that all reactionary rulers and dictators attacked elite citizens in their last hours and added that on the contrary to the expectation of the dictators, the repression by the reactionaries and dictators would enhance energy to revolt against such dictators.

In his social media message, he has expressed his commitment to support any movements against regression.

“I will be on the lead in every movement launched to safeguard democracy and the democratic constitution,” NC leader Poudel has said.

NC, the main opposition party in the parliament, has been organizing various programs protesting against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) demanding its restoration.
