Mid-term election would spur corruption and poverty: NC senior leader Poudel



BIRATNAGAR: Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel has reiterated his stance for the reinstatement of the dissolved House of Representatives (HoR).

Dissolving the HoR due to an intraparty feud in the ruling party was in no way be logical and just, he said while handing over the awards and prizes to literary figures amidst a program organized by Dadhiraj Subedi Award Foundation at Biratnagar today.

Leader Poudel argued that the process for stepping into the elections after averting the five-year full-term government in the mid-way would spur corruption and poverty in the country.

Noting that the judiciary should listen to the voices of the people, he suggested leaders of the political parties to engage for the country’s development rising above petty interests.
