KATHMANDU: The Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court (SC) has asked defendants to present a notice published in Nepal Gazette regarding the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).

On behalf of the writ petitioner, advocates questioned legitimacy arguing that the notice of the dissolution has not been published in the Gazette.

Advocate Om Prakash Aryal said that the information about the dissolution was unauthorized as it was not published in Nepal Gazette.

Advocate Tikaram Bhattarai also said that the notice was not published in the Gazette.

He argued that the dissolution was unauthorized as the information was published only on the website of the President’s Office.

The bench asked if the notice has been published in the Gazette. However, officials from the Office of Attorney General remained mum. Then, Justice Anil Kumar Sinha asked to present the notice before the bench if it was published.
