Woman dies as tanker hits scooter in Balkhu



KATHMANDU: A woman died when a tanker hit a scooter in Kathmandu Metropolis-14, Balkhu on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Rita Khadgi, 58, of Ashram Road in Balkhu.

Khadgi was seriously injured when a tanker, Na 7 Kha 2209, hit a scooter, Ba 54 Pa 301. Police said that she died on the way to Vayodha Hospital for treatment.

According to police, scooter driver Jane Khadgi has sustained minor injuries. Driver Sagar Lamsal, 30, of Jitpur Simara in Bara is under police control.
