RUKUM WEST: Cadres of the Prachanda-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and Nepali Congress (NC) have clashed at Radi Bazaar in Aathbiskot Municipality-9.

Police have fired nine rounds of bullets in the air and lobbed one teargas canister to control the clash.

District Police Chief Deputy Superintendent of Police Dhurva Kumar Shrestha informed that efforts were being made to control the situation.

DSP Shrestha said that a dispute between the cadres of both the parties that had started at 8 pm on Monday was resolved.

The situation became tense again on Tuesday morning. The clash took place when both the parties reached the Area Police Office for discussion, police said.
