Former Chief Secretary Regmi appointed Nepali envoy to UK



KATHMANDU: Former Chief Secretary Lok Darshan Regmi has been appointed as Nepali Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

According to the Office of the President, Regmi has been appointed as the Ambassador by President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.

Regmi was recommended as an ambassador by the Cabinet meeting on the same day he resigned from the post of chief secretary.

His name was later endorsed by the Parliamentary Hearing Committee of the House of Representatives.
