Gandaki beats Province 1 by two wickets in PM’s Cup Cricket



KATHMANDU: Gandaki Province defeated Province 1 by two wickets at the Group ‘A’ match of the ongoing Prime Minister’s Cup Men’s National Cricket on Monday.

Choosing to bat first after winning the toss at Mulpani Cricket Ground, Province 1 managed to notch-up 103 runs on the board losing all wickets in 27.4 overs.

Subas Bhandari and Bishal Poudel of Gandaki took four wickets each to restrict Province 1 at a low total.

Province 1 Captain Siddhanta Lohani top-scored for Province 1 with 24 runs, while Minas Thapa made 22 runs for his team.

In reply, Gandaki completed the target by losing eight wickets in 37 overs.

Arjun Kumal and Deepak Dumre contributed 35 runs for Gandaki while Abhishek Thapa made 13 runs.

Minas Thapa and Shubhangar Urao grabbed two wickets each as Deepesh Kanel and Hemant Rai took one wicket each.
