PM Oli issues circular to party cadres saying Prachanda tried to capture party, government

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has issued directives to the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) cadres at all levels saying Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” was hell-bent on capturing both the party and the government.

“I had to dissolve the House of Representatives go for a fresh mandate as Prachanda tried to capture the party and the government,” sources quoted PM’s circular as saying.

According to the circular, both Prachanda and another leader Madhav Kumar Nepal of the dissident faction “could not wait” for the general convention to be held in four months.

“Prachanda’s divisive and destructive intentions are responsible for the dissolution of the House,” it said adding that he was even trying to split the party.
