Mercury dips to minus 14 degree in Hilsa

SIMKOT: The temperature in Humla district that adjoins China has gone down to minus 14 degree Celsius.

The massive fall in the temperature has hit locals forcing them to stay indoors.

Security personnel standing guard on the border outposts (BOP) are the hardest-hit. “The temperature has dipped to minus 14 degree Celsius and the cold has increased excessively,” said Hilsa-based BOP in-charge Police Inspector Suraj KC.
