KHUKRI MUSIC NATION CONTEST unveils Top 16 contestants



KATHMANDU: COVID-19 has posed many challenges but as we say, the show must go on; Khukri Music has come up with Virtual Musical Contest under the banner Khukri Music Nations.

This virtual contest allows upcoming singers to show their talent and take part in completion from their home, ensure safety of themselves and their loved ones.

The top 16 contestants was unveiled during the biggest online concert on 1st Jan in Khukri’s official Youtube channel and Dish Home.

The unveiled top 16 are Anish Shrestha, Anjan Ranabhat, Unique Bajracharya, Kiran Bhusal, Mahesh Chapagain, Monika Rai, Sandesh Gurung, Sagar Rai,Santosh Ghale,Umit Shrestha,Sabin Magar,Raju Gurung,Darshika Regmi,Kusum Giri,Ashim Thapa, Jigmee Wangchuk. Nepalese residing in Nepal and abroad had participated.

Top 16 contestants were selected by the panel of judges which includes Bipul Chettri, Samriddhi Rai and Sabin Rai.

The enthusiasts’ applicants had uploaded/submitted their musical cover videos in Khukrimusic.com, the official website for the contest.

The next round of the contest will be voting where the audience can vote for their favorite artist. To vote for the favorite artists, fans can do it at Khukrimusic.com.

Khukri rum always had its connection with music. Promoting Nepali music diversity from its available platform has been a priority. Khukri acknowledges the fact Nepali music is one of the components that enable us to proclaim ‘Garva Ka Saath Nepali”.
