KATHMANDU: The reconstruction of Jaisidewal situated at the Basantapur Durbar Square has not been completed even four years since its beginning.
The Department of Archeology had started the reconstruction of Jaisidewal, damaged by April 25, 2015 earthquake after around 15 months of the incident.
Former chairperson of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-21, Jujukaji Tandukar, said, “Reconstruction of Jaisidewal is being carried out without keeping notice board incorporating cost, period and construction company.
The reconstruction of Jaisidewal is being carried out using old bricks.” He further said that discussion was also not held with locals before reconstruction.
Similarly reconstruction activities of Majudeg and Dashavatar temples have not been carried out since 10 months.
