Shakya appointed as Bagmati Pradesh Assembly PP leader ousting CM Paudel



KATHMANDU: The Prachanda-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has appointed Astalaxmi Shakya as the parliamentary party (PP) leader of the Bagmati Pradesh Assembly.

A meeting of the Bagmati Pradesh Assembly Parliamentary Party held at Peris Danda on Wednesday appointed Shakya to the post by ousting Chief Minister Dormani Paudel.

The disgruntled faction had earlier filed a no-confidence motion against CM Paudel.
