PM Oli for capable and aware judiciary for law enforcement



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has said the judiciary should be capable and aware for the effective implementation of laws, which get changed according to new contexts, norms and values of the society.

He referred to the process of a change in existing laws and rules as per the reforms in the society and level of public awareness.

He said this while inaugurating a newly constructed building of the Office of Attorney General at Ramshahpath and the 3rd National Conference of Attorneys here.

Stating that the process of making new acts, amending the existing ones and issuing new regulations and procedures in course of the implementation of the constitution was on, he said effectiveness in investigation, prosecution and pleading play important role in justice delivery.

On the occasion, Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana said the criminal justice system would be effective through professionalism, activism and capacity development of attorneys, who are backbone of the justice system.

He said they were committed to free, impartial and efficient judiciary as expected by the people.
