Energy Minister Pun leaves quarter; returns government vehicle



KATHMANDU: Ministry for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Barshaman Pun has left his official residence and vehicle and returned to his residence.

Minister Pun resigned on Sunday disagreeing with the Prime Minister’s decision to dissolve parliament.

He immediately left the government vehicle as he was using as a minister and the government residence where he was staying.

Similarly, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai, who resigned on Sunday, has also handed over the two vehicles to the ministry.

After handing over the vehicle to the Ministry, he returned to the Minister’s residence in a private vehicle, said his personal secretary Prem Guragain.

Other resigned ministers are also preparing to leave their respective quarters and government vehicles.

Minister for Education Giriraj Mani Pokhrel, Minister for Energy Barshaman Pun, Agriculture Minister Ghanashyam Bhusal, Tourism Minister Yogesh Bhattarai, Minister for Forests Shakti Basnet, Minister for Water Supply Bina Magar and Minister for Labor Rameshwar Ray Yadav have tendered their resignation on Sunday afternoon.
