Ministers close to Dahal-Nepal resigning en masse



KATHMANDU: Ministers in the Prime Minister KP Oli-led government are set to resign en masse protesting the government’s decision of dissolving the House of Representatives (HoR) on Sunday.

Earlier, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal had instructed the ministers close to them to resign after Prime Minister Oli recommended the dissolution of the House of Representatives.

President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has already dissolved the HoR.

Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, Minister for Energy Barshaman Pun, Minister for Forests Shakti Basnet, Minister for Education Giriraj Mani Pokhrel, Minister for Water Supply Bina Magar and Minister for Labor Rameshwar Ray Yadav will tender their resignation on Sunday afternoon.
